Definition and Causes

                     Schizophrenia is a bio-chemical disturbance of the brain that is genetic, causing severly maladaptive behavior and often subjective distress. Approximately 1.1% of America's population or 2.4 million Americans have schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is probably the most costly diagnosis.
